Mr. Avis has over 33 years in the Surveying industry around the world with experience in England, Algeria, British Honduras, Virgin Islands, Montserrat, Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Canada. He established R. Avis Surveying Inc. in 1988, where under his direction, the company has risen to the top tier of surveying firms specializing in the Condominium development industry.

       Mr. Avis’s professional profile also includes:
  • Member of the Greater Toronto Home Builders Association Committee to standardize floor area measurements of Residential Units now referred to as Bulletin 22 under TARION.
  • Member of the working Real Property Registration Condominium Committee in reviewing and revising the regulations, policy and updating procedures which resulted in the amendments to the Condominium Act, 1998.
  • Member of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors.
  • Building Industry Land Development Association – Urban Development Institute.

Mr. Avis was qualified as an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1972 and is currently a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He became an Associate of the Institute of Architects and Surveyors in 1974. Mr. Avis earned his commission as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1982 and as a Canada Land Surveyor in 1981.

Mr. Lo has over 29 years in the surveying industry and has been with R. Avis Surveying Inc. since 1988.

Mr. Lo is responsible for the preparation of Topographical Survey Plans, Surveyors Real Property Reports, Construction Surveys, Reference Plans and Subdivision Plans.

Mr. Lo is responsible for the hiring and training of technologists.

Mr. Lo has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Survey Technician Diploma from George Brown College.

Mr. Lo was commissioned as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1990.

Dario Miret, B.A.,

Mr. Miret has been with R. Avis Surveying Inc. since 1995.

Since 2002, he has been involved in the Condominium division where he has registered over 70 Condominiums in and around the GTA.

Mr. Miret is also responsible for the training of technologists for the preparation of Condominium Plans.

Mr. Miret has a B.A. from the University of Toronto and was commissioned as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1997.

Mr. Visser has over 38 years experience in the land surveying industry in Canada specializing in Condominiums, Plans of Subdivision, boundary and land development surveys and land development planning.

Mr. Visser graduated from Ryerson in 1969 specializing in Land Surveying and earned his commission as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1975.

In 1981 he also qualified as a Canada Land Surveyor.
